"12 Strong" Chris Hemsworth will leave for a short time his role as Thor in the Avengers, to star in the new action drama 12 Strong, a war movie based on the attack of the Twin Towers in September 2001 '12 Strong 'takes place in the harrowing days after September 11 when a team from the US Special Forces, headed by its new Captain, Mitch Nelson (Hemsworth), is chosen as the first American soldier sent to Afghanistan for a extremely dangerous mission.
The new film by Chris Hemsworth is an exciting story of war, in which we will see a team of 12 paramilitaries trained by the CIA, ready to fight the Taliban on hostile soil. In the rocky mountains, they must convince General Dostum (Navid Negahban) of the Northern Alliance to join forces with them to fight against their common adversary: the Taliban and their al Qaeda allies. In addition to overcoming mutual distrust and a great cultural divide, Americans must adopt the rudimentary tactics of Afghans.
#4 A great release date: January 19, 2018
In fact, one of the most notorious details of the 12 Strong trailer is when Chris and his team carry a piece of debris from the Twin Towers and hand it over to their enemies, only to make clear the spirit and motives of their mission.
Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for the upcoming war film entitled 12 Strong: The desclassified True Story of the Horse Soldiers, of which in Spain we do not know anything at the moment. The film is set after the events of the attack of September 11 at the World Trade Center, as a team of elite soldiers are sent to Afghanistan to counterattack and these soldiers will end up fighting on horseback.
It seems a great story that will be starring Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Michael Shannon (The Steel Man), Michael Peña (Ant-Man), Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight), Geoff Stults (Only the Brave), Thad Luckinbill (The Young and the Restless), Austin Stowell (The Bridge of Spies), Ben O'Toole (To the last man), Austin Hebert (Jack Reacher: Never look back), Kenneth Miller (Whiskey Tango Fotxtrot), Kenny Sheard (13 hours: The secret soldiers of Benghazi) and Jack Kesy (The Strain).
The film is based on the book by Doug Stanton and has been directed by the Danish filmmaker Nicolai Fuglsig from the script written by Ted Tally (The silence of the lambs) and Peter Craig (The Hunger Games). The film premieres in Usa in January 2018.
The Warner Bros. movie, 12 Strong, already has a new trailer, in which we can see Chris Hemsworth (Thor, Rush) enter a rough battle with the rest of the soldiers. The film tells the true story of a group of American soldiers who were sent to Afghanistan just after the 9/11 attack. Hemsworth gets into the shoes of Mitch Nelson, the new captain of the American troops, in charge of directing a dangerous mission. In the rugged mountains, they must convince General Dostum of the Northern Alliance to join forces and fight the Taliban and Al Qaeda together.
